The ring of the doorbell should not make you or your pet anxious. However, if you have a dog that goes bonkers each time the doorbell rings, that anxiety is unavoidable. In fact, the barking triggered by doorbells in dogs can adversely affect your relationship with your pet and your visitors, in the long run. Most dog owners go through this but very few actually know how to manage it.
